Job Description

Position Summary

Perform duties of Application Verification and provide support to the Underwriting Department.

Essential Functions

  • Calls prospective policy holders to verify missing or additional information for applications for insurance.
  • Must maintain an average of 80% productivity or greater.
  • Average Call Audit score of 90 or greater each month.
  • Field calls from AV ACD line.
  • Questions customers based on underwriting direction, company guidelines and identified risk characteristics.
  • Prepares letters and amendments for follow-up and closeouts of pending applications.
  • Order and follow-up of requested medical histories, MIB, Script Checks and MVRs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Job Requirements

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One to two years’ experience in a life insurance setting.
