Job Description

Position Summary

The Sales Recruiter is responsible for recruiting independent sales agents nationwide who market and sell life and supplemental health insurance.   They establish and build relationships to better partner with hiring managers in order to hire successful candidates.  The Sales Recruiter oversees the recruitment process including sourcing, screening, assessing and scheduling candidates.    

Essential Functions

  • Works with hiring managers (Regional and Divisional Directors) on recruiting needs and strategizes to fill open positions.
  • Interacts with hiring managers in a timely, professional and responsive manner; establishes and builds relationships with hiring managers.
  • Works with hiring managers to complete requisition forms to include details of the open position.  
  • Posts open positions to established job boards and reviews resumes to determine qualified candidates.
  • Contacts qualified candidates to conduct initial phone screen and determine eligibility for in person interview.
  • Works with hiring managers on availability and schedules in person interviews with candidates.       
  • Follows up with hiring managers after in person interview to determine if candidates are selected or reasons not selected in order to determine better qualified candidates.   
  • Works with internal personnel once candidates are selected, to conduct the background screen and initiate the onboarding process.
  • Proactively conducts resume searches through available databases to source candidates for open positions.
  • Updates management weekly to provide status report of activity for open positions.
  • Conducts outbound calls to potential candidates in a targeted campaign.
  • Reviews and revise job descriptions as needed.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • One to two years’ of recruiting experience  
  • Recruiting independent sales agents is a plus

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication and telephone skills
  • Outgoing, positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills
  • Detailed oriented, ability to prioritize tasks and takes initiative
